Transform your scraps!

Are you one of those people who toss out fruit peels or green stems or vegetable scraps right into the bin!?

Well, it’s time to stop!

Any type of scrap, from wood to aluminum to paper can be recycled to fun uses.

So why not food?

Especially, when it comes to one of the most important life on Mother Earth, it’s almost sad to see so much food being wasted!

Perhaps, we need to open our eyes to the fact that the life cycle of your fruit and vegetables goes way beyond the fridge to your tummy to the bin.

From scraps to peels to shells, to stems, all of your food & vegetables can be reused!

Breathe life into your scraps with these easy hacks:

1. Scraps to Fries/Condiments:

We all indulge in potatoes, carrots, & zucchini but obviously after peeling!

And naturally, discard the peels. But here’s a fun way to get some crunch on to your meals & salads as well as maximum nutrition out of your veggies.

Simply, wash your peels, spice them up with your favourite flavour, and pop them into the oven or air-fryer.

And there you have it, healthy & tasty fries. Crush them over your salad for that extra crunch.

2. Scraps to Base/Stock: :

We all our veggies essence & crunch but once peeled, the skins & peels go right into the bin with so much flavor!

So why not make ready-to-use soup bases or vegetable stocks out of them? Simply boil your veggie scraps & peels in some water with the classic salt & pepper.

There you have it, ready base & stocks.

3. Scraps to Teas:

This one’s a fruit lover's favorite!!

We all binge on yummy fruits such as pineapple, oranges, or mangoes.

But did you know the peels & skins can make you some amazing iced & hot teas?

Wash your peels and soak them in water with some spices such as cinnamon, ginger, or turmeric. Boil the concoction and add your choice of sweetener.

A delish drink out of scraps is ready to quench your thirst away and boost your health as well!

So, get scrappy with your cooking, and get recycling on!
